

Our Maple Syrup Heritage
Pictured to the right is our inspiration our Grandfather Herb Sternitzky, and our Founder my brother Bradley Teter. Herb took us into the woods when we were about 3 years old and started teaching us how to make Maple Syrup. Once I went to college I did not have much time in the woods, however Brad was able to stay close to home and hone his syrup making skills. He started Herb's Special Reserve in 2017. The last few years I was able to spend a lot more time helping him during the syrup season and remembered just how much I enjoyed making Maple Syrup.
Unfortunately Brad passed away after a long battle with cancer in 2023. I decided that Brad had put in too much work, and I enjoyed making Maple Syrup too much to not continue with what he had started.
Although Brad had upgraded to modern boiling equipment he insisted that syrup making be done as close as possible to what Herb had taught us, which is what gives Herb's Special Reserve the unique small batch distinction.








Herb's Special Reserve Maple Syrup
Crafted in small batches, our maple syrup reflects time-honored methods passed down from our grandfather Herb, delivering unique flavors each season.
Each batch generally turns out to be 4 to 6 gallons depending on the weather, and sugar content of the sap. Some seasons we have had as many as 6 different batches, and other times we have had only 3 batches.
